GAW vs SKN Match Prediction

Guyana Amazon Warriors is the runners-up of the last edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2019. But, the team didn’t make the impressive start at this time. In a rain-affected game at the Brian Lara Stadium, they defeated by the Trinbago Knight Riders by four wickets.

Impressive inning by Shimron Hetmyer 44-ball 63 didn’t help the team to finish in the winning cause. They have a second chance to get points as they now are facing St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the same venue. It’s a doubleheader at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

In the past, the Warriors have dominated the Patriots, who have an 8-2 lead, mainly on the count. Currently, GAW has won their last four games in a row against SKN, now they will be looking to extend their winning streak. The Patriots, on the other hand, also start their new edition on losing cause. They have beaten by defending champions Barbados Tridents by six runs. Both the team now look back on the winning streak after their initial losses.

Pitch Report
As always the pitch will favor the spinners in the day game. But under the lights, it is difficult to grip the bowl due to the presence of dew. So bowling first will a great option if the team wins the toss. Win the toss and bat first scenario, because the chasing teams haven’t had it easy thus far.

Average first innings score: 145-160

GAW vs SKN Match Captain & Vice-Captain Prediction

Guyana Amazon Warriors: Knight Riders really bowled well that Warrior’s batsman couldn’t strain, Apart from Hetmyer and Ross Taylor. Leading run-scorer of the last year edition of CPL 2019 got out on a duck.  Nicholas Pooran also played a cameo inning, has hit two fours and a six.

The batters were struggling to pick Sunil Narine and need to be wary against Ish Sodhi in the Patriots. Aussie allrounder Skipper Chris Green and West Indian Romario Shepherd were leaking runs on the other end. They definitely need to find their rhythm after leaking runs at an economy over 10. Imran Tahir was proven to be expensive as he picked the wickets of Narine and Kieron Pollard.

Small League Captain Vice-Captain: S Hetmyer, C Green

Grand League Captain Vice-Captain: K Paul, I Tahir, Naveen ul-Haq

SKN: The SNP batsman started well in this edition of CPL 2020 having scored runs in their opening game, but couldn’t capitalize on the start they got. Joshua Da Silva scored 41 runs, but the strike rate was run-a-ball. Evin Lewis scored 12 runs at a strike-rate of 66.67 and Chris Lynn who knows for his power-hitting ability, couldn’t swing his bat and failed to score in the first game.

The only positive they got is Ben Dunk, who has scored the quickfire 34 of 21 balls. After the little cameo inning by Sohail Tanvir, he might get a promotion in the next game by his  16 off 10 ball performance.  He was very impressed with the ball too, picked-up two wickets at an economy of 6.20. Sheldon Cottrell and Rayad Emrit bagged 2 wickets each by conceding 32 runs in eight overs.

Small League Captain Vice-Captain: Chris Lynn, Cotrell, N Pooran, Ben Dunk

Grand League Captain Vice-Captain: Keemo Paul, Brendon King, Evin Lewis, Tanvir
