The proposed bio-safe Australia tour of England 2020 is likely to begin from 4 September. Both teams play three T20Is and one-day internationals. Australia has already named the 26-member preliminary squad in view of the tour. The selection committee is expected to be officially finalized team soon. Six limited-overs matches are likely to be played at the bio-safe space, Southampton and Manchester.
International cricket takes place back after a 117-day break with a Test series between England and the West Indies. The Brits are set to host Pakistan for three Tests and T20Is in August. Although, each team already in the country and has served a mandatory quarantine period.
According to the sources, the skipper Aaron Finch and the team will fly to the UK in a private jet. However, there are no details as yet about where they will be able to stay in quarantine and practice. Cricket Australia’s head of national teams Ben Oliver has previously said that the health and safety of players are extremely important and the tour will be decided based on those restrictions in England.
The quarantine system is not in place, they are not confirmed. They obviously exist in the context of normal international travel at the moment so that what we are working through but it is an idea, ”he said.
